Don’t Buy That Expensive Foundation Brush!

There is so much hype going on right now about the newest way to apply your foundation.  Its called the foundation brush and let me tell you, I actually did this before I ever heard it advertised and guess what.  I didn’t have their special little smooth bristle brush for $6 and up.  I simply poured a little liquid foundation into the palmof my hand and tapped a regular blusher brush into it, removed the excess with as little waste as possible and viola!  I had beautiful coverage, better than a makeup sponge provides.  I also use this blusher brush technique by swiping it over stick foundations.  The coverage is like being airbrushed. Trust me. I get complements on my skin. A friend once said, “You’re wearing makeup? I just thought you had great skin!”  I was so happy at receiving such a nice complement.  I told her I had good foundation.  But it was only Covergirl (yah know? the $4.50 bottle).  You don’t need to put out big bucks to have a natural and even dramatic glow.  Of course some skins require different formulation which can inflate the price, such as age appropriate or acne sensitive formulations. But its all in the technique.  Really and in proper skin priming.  Make your skin supple before you apply. You wouldn’t paint a work of art on a side walk when you can have a smooth canvas right?
